Rising prices caused by inflation haven’t scared off mall shoppers, who are spending more and more time in the mall and not cutting back on the value of their shopping baskets either.
“We are very happy that after the pandemic period we are seeing a quite strong return of people back to the retail spaces, and the time people are spending in the malls is increasing, almost two hours on average, a significant increase,” said Roxana Baias, group head of marketing NEPI Rockcastle.
NEPI Rockcastle owns more than 20 shopping centres in Romania, with different surface areas, adapted to the communities where they are located. On 5 October, the company will open a new shopping centre in Craiova, covering an area of 70,000 sqm.
