The town of Kroměříž will sell the land behind the Zachar housing estate to the Hanácká pole company, which wants to build houses and flats there. The town will receive around CZK 14.9 million for the 8764 sqm of arable land, town hall spokesman Jan Vondrášek announced today.
“The investor owns the adjacent land and wants to build houses and flats in the locality, which are in short supply in Kroměříž. The town would have no use for the land anyway, given its size and location. By selling it, we will support housing construction and gain almost CZK 15 million for the budget, which we will be able to use for the benefit of the residents of Kroměříž,” said Mayor Tomáš Opatrný (ANO).
The investor wants to gradually build more than 200 family houses and several apartment buildings in the locality. The town will receive CZK 1,700 per square metre. It has previously sold other plots of land in the area to Hanácká pole, last year for CZK 1,200 per square metre and in 2020 for CZK 1,000.
“According to the expert opinion, the price of the land we are selling now is CZK 1,200 per square metre. The agreed price is the result of complex and tough negotiations with the investor and I consider it to be advantageous for the city, as we have managed to obtain approximately CZK 4.5 million more than the terms of the sale approved by the previous council,” said Opatrný.
