The business of the French retailer Carrefour grew in the first half of the year by 9.8 percent over the same period last year. The 405 Carrefour stores in Romania improved their profitability and reported in the first half of this year sales of EUR 1.326 million (including VAT), 9.8 percent higher compared to the same period last year. In H1 2022, Carrefour stores sold 4.1 percent more than in 2021.
Among other European countries, stores in Romania had the third highest growth in Q2, after Belgium (12.5 percent) and Spain (7.7 percent) and the second highest growth in the first semester, after Belgium (11 ,3 percent).
