Chrudim has another interested party for the purchase of a plot of land in the Chrudim – West industrial zone. The local company Datria International wants to acquire more than 10,000 sqm. The town council supported the sale, said today, mayor František Pilný (ANO).
“We should sell about one hectare of land for the amount of ten million crowns excluding VAT. The company produces single-purpose machines, it is a light engineering production. The ratio of the number of professional workers to the size of the land is very good. If the council approves the sale, nothing will prevent the production from moving to the industrial zone,” Pilný said.
Last year, the town expanded the Chrudim-West industrial zone by purchasing additional land from private owners. On 6 February, the town councillors approved the sale of 2,659 square metres to the Chrudim company Kowo for CZK 2.6 million (VAT excluded). The company is engaged in complete machine production, turning, grinding, milling, drilling, welded parts processing and assembly. “The interested parties still exceed the land possibilities,” Pilný said.
The 33-hectare West industrial zone, which cost Chrudim about CZK 100 million to set up, is largely full. For example, the Chrudim company Dřevovýroba Ficek or the manufacturer of tubes for wind power plants Siag are working here. The town also sold the land to Sofiko, a company that produces baking trays and various types of moulds for bakeries, or Kayaba, a manufacturer of car shock absorbers. The Austrian chain manufacturer Pewag, the Chrudim-based Monas Trade Company, Redleta and Burkoň, the Slatiň company Stavební hut or the special clothing manufacturer CityZen also own plots in the West industrial zone. The town hall has retained the land on which the town wants to build a second larger collection yard. The smaller industrial zone north at the exit from the city to Pardubice has already been sold off.
