Prices of residential units increased by 12.1% y/y in Q3 2022, and rose by 2.4% quarter-on-quarter, according to the Central Statistical Office (GUS).
Prices of residential units in Q3 2022 increased by 2.4% compared to Q2 2022 (including the primary market – by 4.5% and the secondary market – by 0.5%). Compared to the same period of 2021, prices of residential units increased by 12.1% (including in the primary market – by 12.8% and in the secondary market – by 11.6%), according to its report.
In Q3 2022, prices of residential units were 67.4% higher compared to the average price for 2015. (including in the primary market – by 54.7%, and in the secondary market – by 78.4%), it also stated.
In the third quarter of 2022, the largest increase in prices of residential units compared to the previous quarter was recorded in the Wielkopolska province (by 7.4%). A decrease in prices was observed in the West Pomeranian (by 1.6%) and Pomeranian (by 0.3%) provinces, the report announced.
When calculating housing price indices for 2022, the secondary market is assigned a weight of 52.8%, and the primary market – 47.2%.
