In the first nine months of the year, 868,000 sqm of industrial and logistics spaces were rented in Romania, with a value almost double compared to the same period of 2021, and which already exceeds the total area rented during the entire previous year, shows the CBRE Romania real estate consulting company data.
Also, the total rental activity, excluding renewals and renegotiations, represented 82 percent of all transactions, the high percentage confirming the interest of tenants in new spaces, either existing or built especially for them.
The most requested region of the country remains the Capital, with 63 percent of the total rental activity, followed at a significant distance by the Southern region, which registers 20 percent of the rented space in this interval.
Regarding the price of rents, local and international developers active in the market have so far found solutions to keep it stable, despite the geopolitical context and rising prices for construction materials, which makes Romania the most competitive market in region regarding the occupational cost.
