Radisson Hotel Group (RHG) opened Radisson Individuals’ Andersia Hotel & Spa Poznań in Poland this year, and Radisson RED Gdańsk, the company said. In the years 2023-2025, further openings of 5 facilities are planned. RHG has a portfolio of 23 operating and development hotels with a total of over 5,200 rooms.
“We have reactivated our expansion plan in Poland since 2016, when we initiated a growth strategy focused on building a diversified portfolio in urban and leisure centers, operating in the mid-range to luxury segment under management and franchise agreements. Today, we proudly announce that we have achieved a strong portfolio of 23 hotels with over 5,200 rooms under the 6 Radisson Hotel Group brands,” said Valerie Schuermans, vice president business development Central & Western Europe.
At the beginning of 2023, Radisson Blu Resort & Conference Center, Ostróda, will be opened, with extensive recreational and conference facilities. In the summer of 2023, Radisson RED Kraków and Radisson Apartments Kraków will open, both part of the Unity Center business complex. In 2024, the group plans to open another resort on the Baltic coast – Radisson Blu Resort, Międzywodzie. In turn, Radisson Resort & Suites Ustronie Morskie will be the group’s 23rd facility in Poland and its eighth resort, strengthening Radisson Hotel Group’s position as a leading international resort operator in the country. Its opening is scheduled for 2025, it was reported.
Radisson Hotel Group operates hotels under the Radisson Collection, Radisson Blu, Radisson and Park Inn by Radisson brands, and recently introduced two new brands to the Polish market: Radisson RED, the group’s upscale lifestyle brand with informal service and distinctive design, and Radisson Individuals, a brand that complements others in the portfolio. Radisson RED Gdańsk was opened in August 2022 and is located on the Gdańsk Spichrzów Island. Andersia Hotel & Spa Poznań, owned by Radisson Individuals, was also opened in August 2022.
The recent signing of agreements with Radisson Resort & Suites Ustronie Morskie and Radisson Serviced Apartments Kraków begins the group’s expansion into Poland under the Radisson brand. Serviced Apartments have seen more interest from investors and operators in the past 2 years as its operating model proved to be more resilient to changing market conditions.
“After a record year of 2021 with the continued growth of all our brands around the world, we have set ourselves even higher goals for 2022. Globally, over the past three years, we have invested more than $ 400 million to further strengthen the importance of our brands and develop new business offerings. We have invested another USD 100 million in the most modern IT infrastructure. All this to provide owners and guests with world-class digital solutions that facilitate guest service, property management and optimization of revenues and costs. Poland is an important market for our growth strategy in Europe,” added executive vice president and global chief development officer at Radisson Hotel Group Elie Younes.
