JRD Development, a member of the JRD Group, has completed the construction of the energy-saving project Green Port Strašnice. Its largest residential complex to date includes three buildings with 156 healthy apartments and 1,320 sqm of commercial space, adjacent to which is a green inner block with relaxation elements. In the project, the roofs of which are almost 1,000 sqm covered with vegetation, there are the last four available apartments in the layouts of 3+kk and 4+kk.
The Green Port Strašnice residential complex is located on the site of the former headquarters of the Czech Navy: the names of the individual houses are therefore inspired by the maritime theme, which is also reflected in the design of the common interior spaces. Most of the total of 156 apartments are complemented by a front garden, loggia, balcony or terrace. The project also includes 1,320 sqm of commercial space for shops and services. In addition, the owners will have at their disposal a pram/bike room, extensive facilities for cyclists (bike racks, outdoor washing machine or service station) and a parking space in the underground floor with the possibility of installing charging stations for electric cars.
The use of natural materials and sustainable technologies that are environmentally friendly and ensure a healthy internal microclimate is typical for Green Port Strašnice. The basic equipment standards therefore include high-quality triple-glazed insulating windows or an automatic controlled ventilation system with heat recovery, which replaces exhaled air with fresh air. “In addition, the individual buildings are covered by 920 sqm of green roofs. These contribute significantly to absorbing dust particles, improving sound and thermal insulation, regulating the temperature in the surroundings, limiting the flow of rainwater into the sewers, and also to the development of local biodiversity. An interesting environmental element in the project are the birdhouses for the common robin, built directly into the insulation of the individual apartment buildings,” explains Pavel Krumpár, JRD’s commercial director, and adds: “We have noticed a really great interest in the project: there are currently the last four vacant apartments left in it. Especially nowadays, when we are all facing an energy crisis, buyers appreciate the true meaning of energy-saving operation.”
