The District Court in Warsaw made a notice in the National Register of Debtors on the legally binding decision on the declaration of bankruptcy of Open Finance in bankruptcy, the company said
On August 22, 2022, the District Court for the Capital City of Warsaw in Warsaw, 18th Commercial Division for bankruptcy and restructuring cases, made a notice in the National Register of Debtors on the validation of the decision on the declaration of bankruptcy of Open Finance in bankruptcy. The decision is final and binding on August 2, 2022, it was announced.
The court announced the bankruptcy of Open Finance on May 4, 2022. It appointed Paweł Andrzej Głodek as receiver. As the court pointed out at the time, the decision was not final, but effective and enforceable as of the date of its announcement.
The bankruptcy petition was filed by Open Finance itself at the end of December 2021. As the company explained then, the reason for filing the petition is a significant deterioration of the company’s financial situation, too low revenues that do not cover the costs incurred, no prospects for obtaining financing allowing the company to operate in in the coming months.
In April this year. the company announced that the Polish Financial Supervision Authority revoked its permit to operate in the field of mortgage brokerage.
Open Finance is the largest financial advisory company on the Polish market. The company made its debut on the WSE in 2011.
