The Italian group De’Longhi, which owns two functional factories in Romania, in the counties of Cluj and Bihor, recently bought a non-functional platform in Satu Mare and is considering a new factory here worth RON 100 million (EUR 20 mil.). However, for the development of this unit, the company requested a state aid of RON 40 million.
“In the next period, we will evaluate, in the new economic context, significantly different from the one at the beginning of 2022, the alternatives we have related to financing and we will make a decision as soon as possible”, says Carmen Petcu, general manager at De’Longhi Romania.
Last year, the Italian group De’Longhi achieved in Romania, with two factories, a turnover of almost RON 2.3 billion (EUR 470 million), 40 percent higher than in 2020.
