The town hall in Žďár nad Sázavou will offer 27 plots of land for the construction of terraced houses in Vápenická Street in September. The price per square meter is fixed at CZK 2,357, the reservation will be given to the first person to request it. In the past, queues formed at the office because of this. Nevertheless, the city will not go the route of an auction or an auction, during which the price of land could rise, because it wants to give a chance to a larger number of people. Mayor Martin Mrkos (Žďár-living city) told journalists today.
“We want to give an opportunity to everyone whose economic situation allows them to acquire land at least a little,” said the mayor. These are small plots with an area of around 400 square meters. The chosen form of their reservation includes the option of a queue. “Which is demanding, perhaps in some aspects one could say undignified, but it is fair,” said Mrkos. A similar sales concept was used by the city a few years ago when selling parcels in Barvířská street.
The reservation of plots will be possible from September 12, the city office will receive applicants from eight o’clock in the morning. Within ten days of signing the reservation contract, the buyer must pay a reservation fee of CZK 250,000. Houses should be built within three years of obtaining a building permit. “Another condition is that the users of the property will have a permanent residence in Žďár na Sázavou for at least ten years,” said the mayor. Details will be on the city’s website from August 1.
The established payment per square meter of land in the city was described by the mayor as very favorable considering that real estate prices have risen significantly recently. According to him, the significant increase in the price of construction materials and works and the increase in mortgage prices may also discourage some people who were thinking about building earlier. “But we still think the interest will be higher,” he said.
In Vápenická street, it is a joint project of the city and a development company, which will build apartment buildings in the same location. According to the mayor, the city agreed to determine the conditions for the sale of plots for townhouses. Further information on the planned development can be found in the Housing Catalog, which summarizes plans for residential construction in Žďár nad Sázavou.
