Prague 11 is now looking for a company to carry out design and engineering work for the planned reconstruction of the Home for the Elderly (DPS) in Janouchova Street. The costs of repairs and expansion of the building, where clients are cared for by employees of the Jihoměstská sociální company, were estimated by studio V4R at 117 million crowns in 2021. Interested parties can submit their tender offers until July 26. This follows from the public procurement documents.
The building in Hájy intended for seniors now consists of two one-story and two two-story pavilions connected by a corridor. Part of the building was previously used as a kindergarten, the two-story pavilion, which houses the relief services, was added in 2005. According to the architectural study by V4R, new floors should rise above part of the building. The building in Janouchova Street should thus have three floors.
After repairs and construction of new premises, there should be 109 beds in the building. Currently, according to information on the City Hall’s website, there are 79 beds in DPS. Thanks to the reconstruction, the number of single rooms, which V4R representatives say is currently in demand, will also increase 27 of them are designed. Among other things, the building is planned to include an entrance hall, a common room, a kitchen, a laundry room and administrative spaces.
The company that wins the tender will be in charge of the design and engineering work and the performance of the author’s supervision on the construction site. The expected value of the order is CZK 8.4 million without VAT. The offers of the companies participating in the tender will be assessed on the basis of the offered price and the quality of the implementation team. The town hall of the eleventh Prague district would like to conclude a contract with the winner of the competition in August.
