The Bulgarian car battery manufacturer Monbat and the American Advanced Battery Concepts LLC (ABC) will develop a bipolar lead-acid batteries for mass industrial use. They are produced in Bulgaria. The investment in the project is estimated at EUR 16 million.The new batteries will be based on ABC GreenSeal’s existing patented technology.
The existing technology of the American company allows the production of more environmentally friendly products that require fewer raw materials. They are used in the telecommunications sector as well as in on-site energy storage systems.
Monbat has also acquired a EUR 10.3 million battery company in Tunisia.
