HB Reavis, an international company specializing in creating work spaces, has obtained an operating permit for the 120 meter Forest Tower. The new Warsaw skyscraper is part of an office campus offering a total of 78,000 sqm surface. The green investment focused on the well-being of employees is very popular among tenants who have already rented most of the offices before the completion of construction.
2.5 years after the start of construction works, the once inaccessible area between al. Jana Pawła II, along the roundabout of the Home Army Grouping “Radosław” and ul. Burakowska has undergone a metamorphosis into one of the greenest office projects and a friendly part of the city. Designers were inspired by nature and the trend known as biophilic design. In the courtyard open to pedestrians and around the buildings, 200 mature trees and as many shrubs were planted. Another distinguishing feature is green terraces on the roofs, where recreational zones and a city garden overlooking the panorama of Warsaw have been created.
The 120-meter high skyscraper offers 55,000 sqm of space, and the lower office buildings completed a year ago, another 23,000 sqm lease area. Forest’s tenants include, among others Leroy Merlin, Infor PL, PUMA, AmeriGas, Husqvarna, Vorwerk, Sweco, Enel-med clinic, Ala’s kindergarten has a cat, and Gorało Polecam bakery.
Forest was awarded with the award for the best building from the Polish Green Building Association. The design of the HRA Architekci studio, confirmed by ecological BREEAM and WELL certificates, uses many solutions to reduce the carbon footprint and use of raw materials, such as an energy-saving facade or reuse of rainwater.
Employees of the offices located in Forest can easily get here by public transport – there are bus, tram and city rail stops (Warszawa Powązki) nearby, and the Dworzec Gdański metro station is within a 10-minute walk. The first tenants of the complex are already using the new offices, and more companies will move in after finishing the finishing works. Works related to the renovation and greening of Burakowska Street and the construction of a new bicycle path are still in progress in the area.
