Poland: Production of industrial enterprises increased by 17.6% y / y in February

Sold production of industrial enterprises increased by 17.6% y / y in February 2022, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) reported. In monthly terms, it increased by 3.6%.

After eliminating the influence of seasonal factors, in February this year the sold production of industry was 17.6% higher than in the corresponding month of the previous year and by 2.1% higher than in January this year.

The market consensus is an increase in industrial production by 16.6% y / y.

In all major industrial groupings, in February this year production increased in annual terms. The production of energy-related goods increased the most – by 32.7%. The production of intermediate goods increased to a lesser extent – by 19%, and capital goods – by 13 , 8%, durable consumer goods – by 11.6% and non-durable consumer goods – by 9.9%.

In the period of January-February this year. The sold industrial production was 17.4% higher than in the corresponding period of the previous year, when an increase of 1.9% was recorded, the Office also reported.
