Liberec is looking for use for its land in Tálínská Street in Dolní Hanychov, which is intended for development. City Hall plans to invest in a housing development project and acquire some of the newly built apartments. According to a study commissioned by the town hall, up to 90 flats could be built in Tálínská Street. Jiří Šolc (Mayors for the Liberec Region) said yesterday that they have not yet agreed with any specific investor.
“There is one that keeps the access roads in this place, but we will still contact all developers transparently. In reality, only this one will apply, but we will proceed as standard,” the deputy added.
More than 1.2 hectares can be used for construction in this locality, which is close to the technical services area. Most of it belongs to the city, but the land is not used in any way and the town hall does not have its own access road to it. But he just doesn’t want to sell them, Šolc considers cooperation with the developer to be a better way. The city would invest the land in the project and in return get some of the flats built for them. As an insurance, the town hall wants to retain ownership of the land until the end of construction. “The selected developer will have to go through a long journey of all necessary permits, construction and approval process. Only at the end, after approval, the developer will give the city apartments and the city will transfer the land. This is a story for about five to six years,” the deputy added.
