Companies in the Karlovy Vary region can offer up to hundreds of jobs to people from Ukraine facing Russian aggression. They have vacancies for both men and women, according to a survey by the Regional Chamber of Commerce of the Karlovy Vary Region (KHK KK). A large part of employers are ready to help Ukrainians with integration in the Czech Republic, they offer language courses or corporate loans, the director of the chamber Lenka Mansfeldová announced.
“As part of the survey, we contacted our member companies and in one day 32 companies responded to us, offering more than four hundred jobs to Ukrainian citizens. For 12 of them, the fact that they have no experience is not an obstacle,” said the director. Companies can offer various positions, such as maid, waitress, cook, seamstress, bricklayer, construction worker, CNC machine tool operator, locksmith, electrical designer or welder.
Most companies are also ready to help with integration. “The survey shows that employers are willing to help with accommodation, some can also arrange language courses, assist in dealing with the authorities or help with childcare. Some companies are ready to provide wage advances, but also corporate loans,” said Mansfeldová.
For example, the island plant of Amphenol Tuchel Industrial offers 30 jobs, of which 24 positions are also suitable for women. These are manual positions, instead of a technologist or machine adjuster. According to the plant manager Jiří Gerner, they can help those interested in finding accommodation or offer language courses. Lukas CZ offers ten jobs near Cheb.
KHK KK is still approached by other companies that want to offer Ukrainians vacancies. “Refugees from Ukraine have the opportunity to obtain a so-called special long-term visa under the accelerated regime, which will help them handle the staff of the Regional Assistance Center established in KV Arena in Karlovy Vary. work according to the place where the work is to be performed,” said the director.
