Smart quarantine is now helping Ukrainian refugees

Smart Quarantine and its line 1221, operated by the Ministry of Health and technologically provided by Daktela, and which has been used in the last two years to trace contacts and provide information related to covid-19, is beginning to help people in the Czech Republic. coming from war-torn Ukraine.

“Together, we have managed to reconfigure the line in a very short time so that Ukrainian operators can quickly provide medical advice to their fellow citizens fleeing the war,” said Ondřej Jakob, a spokesman for the Ministry of Health.

Under the new option 8, there is now a new option in both Ukrainian and Russian, offering health care information for Ukrainian citizens. After pressing the number 8, the caller is redirected to a Ukrainian-speaking operator or interpreter, who can advise primarily on information about health care, but also help with another agenda that refugees need to solve after arriving in the Czech Republic. A link to acute psychological help is also prepared on the line. It can also be approached by doctors who need assistance in communicating with a Ukrainian patient.

“Thanks to our technological solution, we are able to reconfigure line 1221 for any purpose almost immediately, such as natural or humanitarian disasters. That’s why we can easily and quickly start providing assistance to incoming refugees,” explains Jiří Havlíček, CTO of Daktela.

Further steps according to the technology company may follow. “On the one hand, there is a significant expansion of areas in which line staff can help – for example, by arranging contacts with organizations providing material assistance, accommodation and other assistance. social network, or connecting the contact center to any application,” adds Havlíček from Daktely.
