BNP Paribas Bank Polska presented 1,917 individual settlement proposals to the holders of Swiss franc loans (as of February 25 this year), the bank said. The number of accepted negotiation proposals was 373.

In the fourth quarter of last year the bank received 350 new lawsuits from franchisees.
In 50 legally closed proceedings: 16 claims dismissed; 6 proceedings discontinued; 1 claim rejected; the contract was declared invalid 26 times, once only the claim for insurance of own contribution was awarded, the bank announced.
The amount of the provision for loans in CHF amounted to PLN 1,290 million at the end of 2021, compared to PLN 677 million a quarter earlier and PLN 200 million a year earlier.
An increase in the provision in Q4 in 2021 as a result of a more conservative estimation of the model parameters, including by increasing the expected number of lawsuits, or extending the average time of completion of proceedings and including the estimated number of settlements with customers in the provision model, the bank explained in its presentation.
