Rooms on university dormitories, hotel rooms in a golf hotel and entire vacant apartments offer small towns, entrepreneurs and institutions in southern Moravia for those who flee Ukraine before the war with Russia. On Thursday, some Brno city districts also informed about the possibility of using city flats to accommodate refugees.

For example, Slavkov u Brna in the Vyškov region and Tišnov in the Brno region reported on their websites that they were finding out about the possibilities of their accommodation capacities for refugees. Kuřim in the Brno region stated that it had set aside three flats from the social housing fund and one flat from the city’s housing fund for humanitarian purposes. The city council also took note of Golf Brno’s offer to provide 20 rooms in the Kaskáda Kuřim hotel by the golf course free of charge for accommodation of potential refugees, including meals.

Masaryk University also published an offer of accommodation on Facebook. It offers 99 beds in university dormitories and 34 rooms in B&B Hotel University Brno.

The Brno-střed district said on Thursday that it had ten flats immediately available, another ten in a matter of days and another twenty flats that needed minor modifications. The Brno-sever district also has twenty flats at its disposal.
