Logivest GmbH is strengthening its market competence in Magdeburg with its own location. The consulting company, which specializes in logistics real estate and locations, is thus positioning itself in the fast-growing logistics region and now has eleven locations throughout Germany.
After the Logivest Group massively expanded its range of consulting services last year and founded its own project management GmbH, among other things, the company is again focusing more on expansion in the individual regions this year. Magdeburg has developed into a booming logistics hotspot in recent years. With around 330,000 square meters of new construction volume, the region catapulted itself to the top in 2021 and took third place in the ranking of the 24 top logistics regions in Logivest’s annual logistics real estate seismograph.
On the one hand, the logistics region of Magdeburg benefits from the central location, the proximity to the metropolitan areas and the diverse connections by water, road and rail. On the other hand, the good availability of areas, some of which are even subsidized, and the dynamics of the fast-growing branches of industry brought about the rapid upswing.
“The fact that Logivest is now opening its own branch in Magdeburg is a logical step, because the region is a logistics location with a lot of potential due to its location and trimodality,” says Michael Starre, CSO at Logivest GmbH.
Port of Magdeburg, one of the busiest inland ports in Germany, also convinced CATL, the largest Chinese manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries. At the beginning of the year, Logivest was able to convince the battery manufacturer based on a well-founded location analysis of Magdeburg and broker around 90,000 sqm of logistics space in the VGP Park Magdeburg.
The Logivest team has already moved into the new space in the Katharinenturm, Breiter Weg 31, in Magdeburg. At the start, two consultants from the region will be at the new location. An expansion of capacities is then planned in the course of the year.
