The government will abolish from March 1 this year most of the restrictions imposed in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic, in addition to wearing masks, informed Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. Offices that worked mainly remotely in the last month will return to normal operation.
“Today we abolish most of the restrictions and leave only those that are most necessary. We are limiting all the restrictions that have been in force until today. Only wearing masks in public places, in particular in public transport in shops – […] where this distance between people is close for obvious reasons,” Morawiecki said during the press conference.
“We are also restoring normal work in offices. Remote work was obligatory in offices, former remote work was recommended in companies. Today we abolish this recommendation,” he added.
He stressed that other European countries are lifting restrictions and returning to normal, but they recommend vaccinations all the time.
The lifting of the restrictions was discussed with the COVID Council.
