The MidPoint71 office building opened its doors for the first employees at Powstańców Śląskich Street. This is the seventh successfully completed office project of Echo Investment in the capital of Lower Silesia. The Wrocław office market has been supplied with nearly 37,000 sqm modern space.

The implementation of the MidPoint71 project began in December 2019. Now Echo Investment is celebrating obtaining an occupancy permit. The fourteen-storey office building located at 9 Powstańców Śląskich filled the landscape of the South of Wrocław.

“MidPoint71 is an office building that has enjoyed great market interest from the very beginning. The central location of the investment and remarkable, elegant architecture are the distinguishing features of the investment and attract tenants. PwC has already started working at the new address, and the headquarters of 3M GSC Poland will soon open here. I am convinced that we have created a place where you can work comfortably and, above all, safely. The building has been equipped with a number of technological and organizational solutions that we have implemented for the benefit of its users,” emphasizes Katarzyna Kubicka, regional director in the commercial department of Echo Investment.

The office in MidPoint71 has been chosen by great tenants who, together with the occupancy permit, open up space here for their employees. The first company to celebrate moving to a new office is PwC.

“The opening of our new office in Wrocław is also the next stage of the pilot project “Office of the Future”, the aim of which is to adapt PwC office spaces to the requirements of the new reality. A traditional office space is transformed into a comfortable and cozy place to work, stimulating interaction within teams, cooperation between departments and building relationships. Modern technologies support the hybrid work model and increase flexibility and efficiency. Changing the location to MidPoint71 is also another step for us to increase energy efficiency and achieve the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 50% in absolute terms by 2030. And the view of the panorama of Wrocław is irreplaceable,” says Katarzyna Ignaszak, partner PwC Polska and the leader of the Wrocław office.

The PwC office is located on the 12th floor of MidPoint71, which offers a beautiful view of Wrocław. Closeness to nature, plants, ecology, and natural materials are the foundations on which PwC has created its new office space in Wrocław. In order to emphasize the local aspect, it was decided that the leitmotif of the interior design of the office rooms would be Lower Silesian nature reserves and landscape parks. Subdued colors and intimate workstations dominate, and the space is filled with fresh vegetation. Of course, there was also a quiet work zone, a table football room and a terrace where integration and business events will be held.

MidPoint71 was also designed in accordance with the BREEAM certification guidelines at the Excellent level, introducing many solutions supporting, among others, energy and water saving, waste management policy and minimizing the building’s environmental impact. It is located here, incl. 106 places for bicycles. In a specially adapted area, cyclists can use the changing rooms and showers. On the side of the existing residential building, adjacent to the MidPoint71 office building under construction, there is a car park with spaces adapted to servicing electric vehicles.

The safety of the users of the office buildings provided by Echo Investment is the developer’s priority. In the face of post-pandemic challenges, the Echo Pure Office standard was created, on the basis of which the MidPoint71 office building was built. The developer has installed a special system in the office building to monitor and improve the air quality in the building. These devices purify the air, and the technology it uses can be used without any problems during the normal use of the building when people are present in it. MidPoint71 is also included in the “Five for Safety” program. This program regulates a number of principles focused around five areas: disinfection, protection, distancing, information and communication. There are, among others such recommendations as disinfection of common areas every 30 minutes, gloves and masks available at the reception desk, “clean in & clean out” rules for all employees of the building and service staff, recommendation of one-way traffic (entering the elevator, leaving the exit stairs), transparent information about disinfection and cleaning in common areas, such as reports in a visible place.

Medusa Group studio is responsible for the architectural design. The building is characterized by a non-standard shape. The lower, six-storey base of the building is decorated with an original and impressive façade. A gentle gradation of redness on the panels of this part of the facade will add give the building an individual character and draws attention to other buildings in the area. The project also provides for terraces creating additional recreational space to be individually arranged by tenants.

On the ground floors, there will be services and comfortable common spaces that can be used for informal meetings or rest between work duties.
