The value of constructions for which builders received building permits in the Pardubice Region last year rose by less than a quarter to CZk 18.6 billion. The average value per building permit increased by CZK 590,000 to CZk 3.6 million. This follows from the information of the Pardubice branch of the Czech Statistical Office.

In the Pardubice region, we record the second highest value for the period of the region’s existence in the 1st to 4th quarter of 2021, which is 0.4 billion crowns lower than in 2010, announced the statistics office.

The regional year-on-year growth in the value of constructions was 23.2 percent. Rising prices of construction work and materials were reflected in it. The amount is indicative, statisticians work with an estimate of the total cost of construction, including spending money on preparation, construction itself and commissioning of the construction. The costs are not final as a result, ČSÚ further added.

Last year, builders obtained 5,134 building permits, up 3.1 percent from the previous year. Three-fifths of permits went to the construction of residential and non-residential buildings, two-fifths to the construction of civil engineering works. In the district of Ústí nad Orlicí, the number of building permits increased by more than 13 percent year on year, in other regions the growth was in the order of percent.

The region will account for six percent of the total national figures for housing construction, for which building permits were issued last year. Non-residential construction will exceed six percent. Last year, the Central Bohemian Region had the most issued permits for residential and non-residential premises, over a fifth of all permits in the Czech Republic.
