According to real estate agencies, since the beginning of the year, the number of transactions has decreased from 10 to 20 percent. The main reason is the exaggerated prices, which reach even 1,400 EUR per sqm, but also the tightening of credit conditions, so that potential buyers prefer to wait.
On the other hand, real estate agents say that there will always be customers interested in real estate acquisitions.
“The interesting thing is, people always need a home, they want to improve their living conditions, but when they analyze the offers that are currently on the market they understand that this is not the right time,” said Victor Cernomorenco, a real estate expert.
In 2021, apartment prices have risen by more than 20 percent, the largest increase in 14 years. Some realtors say the trend will continue this year.
