InPost will launch a new 8,700 sqm logistics center as part of the Central European Logistics Hub in Łódź, the company said.

Central European Logistics Hub is the largest logistics complex in Europe with a planned area of ​​over 600,000 sqm. The hub drives the development of the New Industrial District of Łódź with the possibility of creating 7,000 jobs. jobs, stated.

“We have a well-developed logistics base in Poland, which allows us to implement very fast delivery times to Parcel Lockers, i.e. realistically D + 1. Nowadays, efficiently combining the work of hubs, transport and couriers is quite a challenge – especially with such volumes as everyday This shows that we understand and can manage such a large network very well. Now we want to present such competences in Europe, which has been struggling with problems in the implementation of fast deliveries for several years, on parameters similar to those in Poland,” said Rafał Brzoska, the president of InPost.

As emphasized by the CEO of Panattoni Robert Dobrzycki, while only 5-6 years ago, just over 50% of internet users in Poland bought online, today it is nearly 80%.

“The key challenge for companies delivering parcels is to shorten the delivery time as much as possible, and in this task distribution centers on the outskirts or within city limits, which are one of Panattoni’s specialties, are perfect,” said Dobrzycki.

The investment is located at ul. Jędrzejowska in Łódź, right next to A1 – the only Polish motorway running north-south. The hub is located 30 km from the Łódź Północ junction, which is the intersection of the A1 and A2 motorways. The investment already covers nearly 550,000 sqm and over 40,000 sqm is under construction, according to the material.

In 2021, Panattoni completed logistics centers for InPost with an area of ​​nearly 100,000 sqm in 12 locations: in Wałbrzych, Poznań, Wrocław, Kalisz, Siedlce, Goleniów, Białystok, Olsztyn, Warsaw and two in Kraków. In addition, in the coming months, Panattoni will provide another over 85,000 sqm as part of investments in Rzeszów, Tychy / Mikołów, Radom, Warsaw, Konin, Piła, Gdańsk, Grudziądz, Kraków, as well as the recently started Central European Logistics Hub project in Łódź with an area of ​​8,700 sqm. The current implementation within the boundaries of Łódź will allow for efficient customer service throughout the agglomeration, it was also stated.

InPost is a delivery platform for e-commerce. Established in 1999 by Rafał Brzoska in Poland, InPost has a network of parcel lockers in Poland, Great Britain and Italy, and also provides courier and fullfilment services for e-commerce sellers in Poland. In 2020, InPost handled 249 million parcels via Paczkomaty, cooperating with over 26,000 e-sellers. The company’s mobile application – InPost Mobile has over 6 million active users. In January 2021, InPost made its debut on the Euronext Amsterdam stock exchange.
