Prices for 3-room apartments increased by 7%

8 February 2022

The prices of the old three-room apartments continued to rise in January at the fastest pace in the last two years, by 7 percent. Thus, the prices of the old three-room apartments in the Capital reached an average of EUR 105,500, a value that has not been reached since the first half of 2009, according to the calculations of SVN Romania.

“Price growth accelerated earlier this year. Usually, in January, many properties are put up for sale, the owners’ expectations are usually higher, regardless of the period – this is generally the explanation for the more significant increases usually recorded in January. However, there is also a basic increase, mainly related to the inflation rate and the increased demand “, said Andrei Sârbu, CEO of SVN Romania.

“By 2022, we expect a price increase of about 15 percent in the new segment, mainly due to rising costs, and a smaller increase in the old housing segment,” he said.
