The forests of the Czech Republic still offer a reward of CZK 200,000 for detecting the perpetrator or perpetrators who shot several pieces of game in fields near Mikulov in the Břeclav region last October. The reward was announced by the state-owned company in November, but no one responded to the call. Eva Jouklová, a spokeswoman for the state enterprise, wrote this to ČTK today. The perpetrators in the fields caused damage in the hundreds of thousands of crowns.
According to the spokesman, the poachers shot two adult deer, a fallow deer and a doe, in the Bulhary and Klentnice fields last October. However, according to the spokesman, the police are also investigating a number of other cases in this area.
“In the past, people have illegally hunted game for meat. In recent years, however, it has only been about killing an animal, which I perceive as a perversion to be faced,” said formerly General Director of Forests of the Czech Republic, Josef Vojáček.
Foresters found a fallow deer shot in the second half of October and a deer and a doe about 200 meters away. After a few days, they found another killed deer. “There were no antlers and the pieces were not even ready to steal meat. Someone just shot them and left them lying. Both deer were young. It is a great pity that you do not balance the money,” said the head of the Mikulov forest, Zdeněk Piskač.
Foresters dealt with a similar case of a fallow deer shot in August, and found a killed and left-handed doe in the first half of the year. In May 2019, a poacher killed a large deer in the same area, which, according to foresters, there are very few. Even then, according to them, it was not only a financial loss, but also a breeding loss.
