13,020 companies suspended their activity last year, increasing by 19.31 percent compared to 2020, according to data published by the National Office of the Trade Register. The most companies that suspended their activity in 2021 were from Bucharest, respectively 1,285, the Capital being followed by Cluj, with 683 suspended companies (increasing by 4.12 percent), Bihor – 562 companies (+9.98 percent) and Constanţa – 534 (+ 9.65 percent).
On the other hand, the least suspensions were recorded in Ialomiţa – 82 (increasing by 95.24 percent compared to January-December 2020), Alba – 89 (-62.13 percent) and Giurgiu – 110 (+39, 24 percent).
