The investment company Penta has bought an office building on Petrske namesti in the center of Prague and wants to build an apartment building instead. The News List server informed about it yesterday. According to them, the sale price was not published. Penta’s real estate manager David Musil only told the server that the investment in the construction of 80 to 100 apartments will exceed CZK 700 million. Penta has already announced an architectural competition for a project with luxury apartments to replace the office building under the auspices of the Czech Chamber of Architects.
According to the server, the property on Petrské náměstí was not sold directly, but through a change in the owner of the Petrská osmnáct company, to which the building belonged. The company was sold by the Cypriot company Charlhold Orange, represented by Petr Nešetřil, a close collaborator of billionaire Pavel Tykač. In front of the Cypriot company, the building belonged to the telecommunications company Telefónica, the server said, adding that neither party commented on the transaction price.
Last week, Penta announced the construction of new flats in another part of the center of Prague, together with the development company PSN, it will mainly build a residential building on the site of the former Transgas building at the beginning of Vinohradská Street. To prepare and implement the project on one of the most valuable plots of land in the capital, the companies created a joint venture and a new building could begin construction in 2024.
Last autumn, Penta also announced that a consortium of developers Penta Real Estate, Kaprain Group and Sekyra Group had bought land from the University of Chemical Technology in Prague (ICT) for about a billion crowns in the western part of Vítězné náměstí in Prague 6 and wants to build offices there. and shops, some will be used for apartments.
