The developer AFI Europe has completed the rough construction of AFIHOME Karlín (formerly known as Tulipa Karlín) on the corner of Thámova and Pernerova streets in Prague 8. This building near the Křižíkova metro station is divided into several interlocking units following the structure and height of the existing development. In its highest part, it will have 10 floors, and it will be intended exclusively for rental housing. After its completion in the 3rd quarter of this year, it will offer 170 apartments for immediate occupancy. In addition, some of them will be fully furnished. There will be additional shops and services on the ground floor.
“This is already the second rental housing project, in which we have moved on to the final part of the construction. It is part of the new AFIHOME umbrella brand, which will distinguish the existing housing construction for the purpose of sale from the current realizations for rent. We consider the Karlín project to be unique not only in its appearance but also in its location. It grows in one of the most attractive parts of Prague, where all civic amenities are available literally around the corner and the center is only a few minutes walk away. At the same time, it lies at the foot of the green Vítkov hill, which offers a beautiful view of the metropolis and which provides many opportunities for relaxation and sports activities,” comments Elena Pisotchi, AFI Europe’s sales and marketing manager, adding: “In addition to housing, there will also be a commercial section with shops and services. In the courtyard there will be front gardens of ground floor apartments and a courtyard with space for sitting in the greenery. ”
As part of the implementation, the reconstruction of two original apartment buildings from the beginning of the 20th century and a modern extension in the shape of the letter “L” are in progress. The Serbian studio Bevk Perović arhitekti is behind the architectural design, and Imos Brno is the general contractor.
