The state budget will record a deficit of PLN 20 billion at the end of 2021, said Tadeusz Kościński, Minister of Finance, Funds and Regional Policy.
“The condition of public finances is very good. We will end the year with a deficit of PLN 20 billion, but this is mainly the effect of the pandemic. We are in the fourth wave, we have to prepare for the fifth and for Omikron, a new variant of the coronavirus. We do not know what awaits us.” Kościński said in the “Money. It counts” program.
At the end of October 2021, the state budget recorded a surplus of PLN 51.89 billion, according to estimated data. A month earlier, the budget surplus amounted to PLN 47.6 billion.
