In the locality of Prague 15, the development company YIT has started the construction of a new project Vesi Hostivař. Sales of 208 apartment-type units are planned to launch in the coming months. In addition, less than a dozen of them will be specially adapted for the needs of the disabled. The project should be completed in the 3rd quarter of 2023.
The Vesi Hostivař residential complex consists of five interconnected houses and is created by the revitalization of the former industrial area of the “Kaplan” sawmill. “Before the start of construction, we removed almost a dozen dilapidated warehouse buildings and concrete area roads in accordance with the issued permit. At the same time, we disposed of the remains of building materials and the piles of rubbish that had accumulated in the crumbling halls. Unfortunately, we were forced to cut down part of the tree species and several trees in poor condition, which grew into neglected buildings. However, we will replace them in large numbers with new plantings, which we will then take care of carefully,” says YIT Stavo CEO Marek Lokaj, adding:” With regard to the locality and nature around the Hostivař dam, we approached the planning of the project together with the architects with great feeling and respect. For example, the houses are designed as a maximum of five storey to maintain views. Our goal is to cultivate neglected territory and bring recovery to a place that lacked meaningful use. ”
