Allegro will open five offices in Katowice, Łódź, Gdańsk, Lublin and Wrocław

Allegro will open five new offices in Katowice, Łódź, Gdańsk, Lublin and Wrocław, and wants to hire 1,500 people this year, including several hundred employees in new locations, the company said.

“From the very beginning, technology has been the heart of everything we do at Allegro. We have one of the largest technology teams in this part of Europe, where we create solutions that become a market benchmark. All our products are created locally. Thanks to this, our employees can do it every day. face many amazing technological challenges and have a direct impact on the shape of the platform. In addition, when creating products and services, we always focus on the freedom to look for solutions and unlimited access to the technology we need, and when it is not yet available, we design and build it ourselves,” – said Marcin Mazurek, acting chief technology officer at Allegro.

So far, Allegro has been located in six locations: in Warsaw, Kraków, Toruń, Poznań, and logistics centers in Błonie and Adamów near Warsaw.

Currently, the company is moving its Warsaw and Poznań offices to more modern, larger spaces. In Warsaw, it will be the largest tenant of the Norblin Factory, where it will lease over 23,000 sqm, and in Poznań the Nowy Rynek building..

Allegro also informed that it is looking for, among others, software developers, product managers, data analysts.

Thanks to the development of teams all over Poland, Allegro wants to reach talented specialists who will develop the Allegro.pl platform, including innovative services such as: Allegro Pay fintech, Allegro Biznes platform, or Allegro Lokalnie local classifieds platform.

Allegro is the number 1 trading platform in Poland. Sales are mainly carried out by companies via the e-commerce platform Allegro.pl. The value of products sold (GMV) on the group’s platform accounted for approx. 3% of the retail market in Poland in 2019.
