Skanska will build over 900 flats in Malešice, Prague

Skanska Reality will build 10 apartment buildings with more than 900 apartments on the territory of the former industrial area at Polygraphic Street in Prague’s Malešice. The company has already obtained a zoning decision for the project, and according to company spokeswoman Renata Vildomcová, the estimated construction costs are CZK 4.5 billion.

The project in Malešice envisages the use of 70,000 sqm of land and about 2,500 people should find a home in the houses. “For such a large-scale project, of course, we are counting on civic amenities, for which we will prepare premises in the project on the ground floor of apartment buildings along the extended Polygraphic Street. In addition to the park, playground, shops and services, operator,” said the spokesperson.

The industrial area is located near the final metro station A Depo Hostivař, where several suburban bus lines end and the city plans to build a tram loop, a P + R parking house and a railway station. Rail Cargo Group wanted to build a railway transhipment yard nearby, but this was criticized by some residents of Prague 10, as well as the town hall and the town hall. Last year, after the municipality’s opinion did not recommend approving the plan, the company requested that the environmental impact assessment (EIA) be stopped.

Skanska Reality is also preparing a large housing project in Prague, Modřanský cukrovar, which will include 767 flats, shops, a kindergarten, a multifunctional hall and a park. Brownfield after the former sugar factory is located on the right bank of the Vltava in the southwestern part of Modřany. The company is preparing another housing project in the four-hectare area of ​​the former bakery in Michle. He plans several houses there for up to 1700 inhabitants, commercial premises, a park and a kindergarten.
