The Polish government does not plan any restrictions in the economy due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but if necessary, any decisions will be made at the level of counties and cities by local sanitary and epidemiological stations, the deputy minister of health informed Waldemar Kraska. He said there were 2,085 new cases of infection today, an increase of 70% from last week.
“We are not planning any restrictions as far as the economy is concerned, because I think that no country in Europe can afford it at the moment. We will – if we will – react on a county level, on a point scale,” said Kraska in radio Jedynka.v
“I hope that such restrictions will not come about,” he added.
In October, the same restrictions apply in the country as in the previous months.
Asked about when and how the government plans to react, should the need arise, Kraska said: “Certainly all those places where there are many people, where people gather, where they are close to each other, it will be a local decision of sanitary stations, it will be about schools or some kind of event or gathering. ”
“But these will be very individual decisions, not nationwide, but in counties or even cities,” he said.
He also informed that there are no plans to restrict All Saints.
“We will see what the situation will be before November 1, but at the moment we do not plan any restrictions on All Saints,” he said.
Today there are 2,085 new, confirmed cases of coronavirus infection, an increase of 70% compared to the previous week.
