The Sphera Franchise Group brought in 112 workers from Sri Lanka in the first part of this year to make up for the lack of staff in Romania. Most of them (85 percent) work within KFC Romania, and the rest (15 percent) at Taco Bell, also on the local market.
The owner of the KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell franchises has about 4,400 employees in the three markets in which it operates, of which over 4,000 in Romania alone. Sphera has operations in three countries – Romania, Italy and the Republic of Moldova.
