In the first four months, 14,890 building permits were issued for residential buildings, up 36.2 percent from the same period last year. Increases were registered in all development regions: South-Muntenia, Bucharest-Ilfov, West, North-East, North-West, South-East, Center and South-West Oltenia ”, according to the data published by the National Institute of Statistics.
In April 2021, 4,681 building permits were issued for residential buildings, increasing by 5 percent, compared to March 2021 and by 104.4 percent compared to April 2020, according to INS data. Of the total building permits for residential buildings in April, 68 percent are for rural areas.
