The eMAG group, with activities in Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria, controlled by the Naspers investment fund and Iulian Stanciu, reported revenues of EUR 1,1 billion obtained on the local market.
“The year 2020 was a complicated one, in which, at the beginning, we adapted investing in work from home programs, but also in the safety of front-line employees. The entire ecommerce ecosystem, consisting of suppliers, merchants in the Marketplace, couriers, technology, the 7,500 eMAG employees, served the customers very well in the difficult moments of the pandemic. We helped the authorities in the fight against the pandemic with the necessary sanitary materials, which were not available at that time, amounting to RON 12.5 million through the Donate for the first line program. Last but not least, we have developed customer services, adapted to the new context. We will continue to invest in growth, with a focus on international development and the traders in the Marketplace, but also in Romanian entrepreneurial companies that want to develop internationally, ”said Tudor Manea, CEO of eMAG.
