27 May 2021

The government plans to set a maximum price for 1 sqm of real estate that will qualify for the housing program under the Polish Deal, according to information from the Prime Minister’s Office. Under the program, Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) will provide guarantees for own contribution up to PLN 100,000. PLN (40% of the loan value) to be repaid over 15 years.

“To reduce the risk of price increases, there will be a maximum price level for 1 sqm of real estate that will qualify for the program,” reads the Law Firm’s Twitter profile.

The “Flat without contribution” program is to apply to: transactions on the primary market, transactions on the secondary market or the construction of a single-family house. It is to be addressed to young people up to 40 years of age, to married couples and couples with a child (or expecting a child) and to people without housing.

To use the # MieszkanieBezWładu program, you need creditworthiness to take out a mortgage. @BGK_pl provides a guarantee of your own contribution up to PLN 100,000 (up to 40% of the loan value) to be repaid for 15 years.

If, during the repayment of the own contribution guarantee, the borrowers will have another child, the state promises to pay off some of their liabilities. In the case of the birth of a second child – up to PLN 20,000, in the case of the third child – another PLN 60,000 and in the case of the fourth child – the remaining PLN 20,000 from 100 thousand guarantee.

As previously announced, the draft regulation is to be discussed by the Council of Ministers this autumn. The government wants most of the solutions presented as part of the Polish Deal to enter into force next year.
