New orders in industry increased by 69.4% y / y in April 2021, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) reported. In monthly terms, it decreased by 5%, the Office said.
Orders for exports and exports increased in April by 92.9% y / y and decreased by 1.8% in monthly terms.
The Industrial New Orders indicator is used to assess future production and shows the development of demand for industrial products and services. Orders in industry are defined as the value of contracts (excluding VAT) binding the manufacturer and a third party for the provision of goods and services.
