The Czech Ministry of Finance will no longer extend the payment of a compensation bonus to entrepreneurs and partners of small companies in June. He justifies this by saying that more operations are already open than closed. Thus, assistance should be directed only to closed operations. Programs from the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Antivirus program will be available to them. This was stated by the Minister of Finance Alena Schillerová (for YES) at a press conference after a government meeting on Monday. Now the financial administration pays contributions to entrepreneurs for the months of February, March, April and May. The compensation bonus was introduced by the Ministry of Finance last spring.
To date, the financial administration has paid out 450,787 applications for approximately CZK 11.1 billion as part of a new compensation bonus.
The administration pays a compensation bonus on the basis of a law that increased the contribution from 500 to 1,000 crowns per day for entrepreneurs or partners of small companies. Employees have an allowance of CZK 500 per day for the agreement. The bonus is no longer linked to the state of emergency and the support is aimed at companies and entrepreneurs, whose sales fell by 50 percent or more in the relevant period. The administration accepts applications for February, March, April and May.
According to the law, the contribution paid is in fact a refund of personal income tax from dependent activity.
At the same time, the administration registers 833,572 paid applications for CZK 7.64 billion for a contribution of 500 crowns per day in connection with the autumn government measures. In the case of restrictions last spring, when the contribution also amounted to 500 crowns a day, the financial administration processed over a million applications from self-employed persons (self-employed persons), partners of small companies and employees by agreement and paid out about CZK 22 billion.
