Ghelamco has completed construction and received an occupancy permit for the Warsaw UNIT office building, the company said. Warsaw UNIT offers 57,000 sqm of modern space on 45 floors.
“We are proud to have completed another project at Rondo Daszyńskiego. This place has become a real business center of the city. Warsaw UNIT is an example of a large-city skyscraper, it is perfectly connected, and in its immediate vicinity there are numerous shops, restaurants, bars, housing estates and hotels” – said Jarosław Zagórski, the commercial and development director of Ghelamco Poland.
The lease of space in the building has been announced by companies such as Warta and CBRE, who also act as the building manager. Currently, the building is already nearly 50% leased, it was also reported.
“The uniqueness of UNIT is its architecture that combines the modernist heritage of the capital with modern materials. The slender shape of the skyscraper reflects the city landscape in blue glazing, and at the height of the streets, the façade is complemented by the so-called ‘dragon skin’ – that is, thousands of scales-like tiles that react to everyone. a gust of wind enlivens the façade. The lobby is also impressive. High, two-story, fully glazed, it overlooks the street and seems to be part of the city. The Polish-Belgian Pracownia Architektury Projekt is responsible for the Warsaw UNIT project.
The skyscraper can operate in the so-called “pandemic mode”. It is possible thanks to the use of a number of technologies that stop the spread of viruses: the ventilation system is secured on the air handling units with UV lamps, and additionally, it can operate in automatic mode only with the use of fresh air. UV lamps will be installed in the elevators to effectively disinfect the cabin space, it was also announced.
The building has a multi-storey car park for 400 cars, as well as infrastructure for cyclists: bicycle parking, changing rooms and showers.
Ghelamco Poland is an investor, developer and general contractor on the Polish market. The company’s flagship investment is the Warsaw Spire office complex with Plac Europejski in Warsaw.
