Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki did not rule out the introduction of a state of emergency if – despite the introduced additional restrictions – the pandemic situation did not improve.
“We do not rule out any scenario, if it was to be even worse after two or three weeks” – said Morawiecki during a press conference, answering the question whether the government is considering introducing a state of emergency or a state of natural disaster in a situation where additional restrictions will not bring positive results.
Today it was announced about additional restrictions due to the epidemic situation. From Saturday, the number of people who can stay in shops and other commercial establishments and churches at the same time will be limited, furniture stores, hairdressing and beauty salons, nurseries and kindergartens and sports facilities, except for professional sports, have been closed.
