The negative effects of the coronavirus pandemic threaten the company’s stability in the opinion of 55.9% of entities in the accommodation and catering industry surveyed by the Central Statistical Office of Poland (GUS). A further 40.8% of companies in this industry assess the negative effects of the pandemic in the current month as serious.
The effects of the pandemic are perceived as threatening the company’s stability by 15.2% of companies from the transport and materials industry, and the effects are assessed as serious by another 27.8% of companies, the Office said.
In the case of retail trade, the percentage of companies presenting such ratings is respectively: 12.7% and 34.8%, among companies dealing with wholesale it is 6.3% and 21.6%, respectively.
In the construction industry, these assessments are as follows: 9.1% of companies consider the effects of the pandemic to be threatening their stability, and a further 23.2% – as serious. In manufacturing, it is 5.1% and 22.4%, respectively, also given.
The study was conducted from 1 to 10 March 2021 on a sample of industrial, construction, commercial and service units.
