On Wednesday, according to Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO), 47,000 people were vaccinated against covid-19 in the Czech Republic on Wednesday, which is the most in one day since last year’s vaccination in the country. In total, medics administered 949,000 doses. Babiš told reporters today before leaving for Israel. The topic of negotiations in Israel will be mainly vaccination against covid-19. According to Babiš, Czech scientists who are developing a drug against covid-19 will also meet with Israeli experts who have already developed such a device. The Czech medicine is in the final phase of approval, said the prime minister.

In the Czech Republic, vaccinations-19 have been vaccinated since December 27 last year. Minister of Health Jan Blatný (for YES) said last week that he wants to reach at least 35,000 doses of vaccines a day in March. So far, in addition to Wednesday’s 47,000 doses, the limit of 35,000 vaccinated has been exceeded only once in March, when 35,890 doses of vaccines were given on March 4.

The vast majority of vaccine doses administered are Pfizer / BioNTech comirnatia. In addition, vaccines from Moderna and AstraZeneca are now being vaccinated in the Czech Republic. When asked by journalists, Babiš stated that a vaccine from Johnson & Johnson, which has ordered two million doses from the Czechia, could probably also arrive in April.
