Croatian price growth in real estate see’s 1.2% increase for H2 2020

The average price of a square meter of a new apartment sold in Croatia in the second half of last year was EUR 1,670, which is 1.2 percent more than in the same period in 2019, according to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS).

The average price per square meter of new construction in the capital of Croatia, Zagreb, was EUR 1,820 which is 4.3 percent more than the year before, and in other settlements EUR 1,470 or 4.9 percent less. At the same time, the price of a square meter in Zagreb increased by 5.5 percent on an annual level.

The average price per square meter of new apartments sold by companies and other legal entities, without socially encouraged housing programs, amounted to EUR 1,690 in Croatia in the second half of last year, which is 1.2 percent more than in the same period a year earlier.

Data from the CBS also show that in the second half of 2020, 1,770 new apartments were sold in Croatia, of which 992 in Zagreb and 778 in other settlements.
