Skanska invests EUR 76 mln in the first phase of Port7, a mixed-use project located in Prague, Czech Republic. The ten-story office building will have a total leasable area of around 27,700 sqm, with two underground parking levels. The investment also includes underground parking levels for the planned second phase of Port7. The construction contract is worth about CZK 1.7 billion which will be included in the order bookings for Europe for the first quarter of 2021.
The full Port7 complex will offer about 35,000 sqm of A-class office and retail premises in three buildings, with retail stores, restaurants, cafés and fitness centers located on the ground floor of the buildings. The Port7 project also includes a large public space for relaxation, walks and meetings with colleagues and friends. All sorts of sport enthusiasts will also appreciate the newly redeveloped Holešovice riverfront, where they will be able to enjoy running, cycling, or for example kayaking.
“With the construction of the Port7 project, we return to Holešovice, where we completed the award-winning Visionary office building three years ago. We believe in this location for the long term and we are betting on its potential. We greatly appreciate the cooperation of the city hall, which supports this development. Within the Port7 project, we will create not only high-quality office space, shops and services, but also a two-hectare public space full of greenery, a promenade along the river, pleasant seating areas and a number of sports grounds. The new riverbank will draw the attention of both our future tenants and the inhabitants of Holešovice and other districts,” says Martin Machů, Project Manager at Skanska.
Port7 is expected to receive both LEED Platinum and WELL certifications. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) focuses on energy consumption and sustainable materials, whereas WELL evaluates how the working environment affects people inside. Comfort and microbiological safety in Port7 will be guaranteed by Skanska’s Care for Life Office Concept and sealed by WELL Health & Safety Rating.
The construction of the first phase will start in February 2021 and is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2023.
