The number of companies that have suspended their activity decreased in 2020 by 22.27 percent compared to the previous year, reaching 10,913 according to data published by the National Office of the Trade Register.
Most companies that suspended their activity in 2020 are from Bucharest, respectively 1,136 followed by the counties of Cluj, Bihor and Constanţa.
By fields of activity, the highest number of suspensions was registered in wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, in other service activities and in professional, scientific and technical activities. In December 2020, 1,062 company suspensions were registered, most of them in Bucharest and in the counties of Cluj, Timiş and Bihor.
