In December 2020, sold production of industry was by 11.2 percent higher than in December 2019, when an increase was recorded by 3.8 percent as compared to the previous year, whereas in comparison with November 2020, it decreased by 4.4 percent, according to Statistics Poland (GUS). In the period January-December of 2020, sold production of industry was by 1.0 percent lower than in the corresponding period of 2019, which saw a growth by 4.0 percent. In December 2020, as compared to the previous year, an increase of production was recorded in most of the main industrial groupings. The production of durable consumer goods increased by 30.2 percent, intermediate goods by 17.3 percent, capital goods by 9.8 percent and non-durable consumer goods by 5.0 percent. A decrease was observed in the production of energy by 2.7 percent, informed Statistics Poland.
